This website is operated by Centro de Estudios Cubick (trading as “Alba English”), an English-language academy based in Ourense, Spain. We are the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

2. What information we collect

We only collect what we need to teach you well and reply to your enquiries:

• Contact details — your name, email address and phone number when you book a trial, send a message or create an account.
• Learning information — your current level, goals, exam targets and lesson history, so we can plan your classes.
• Booking details — the tutor, date and time you request, and your communication preferences.
• Technical data — basic, anonymised information about how you use this site (see our Cookie Policy).

3. How we use your information

We use your personal data to:

• Arrange and deliver your lessons and free trial.
• Reply to your messages and provide customer support.
• Send you class confirmations, materials and occasional academy updates you have asked for.
• Keep our records accurate and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We will never sell your data, and we will not send you marketing without your consent.

4. Our legal basis

Depending on the situation, we rely on one of the following lawful bases under the GDPR: your consent (for example, optional newsletters), the performance of a contract (delivering lessons you have booked), our legitimate interests (running and improving the academy) or compliance with a legal obligation.

5. Sharing & service providers

We share data only with trusted providers who help us run the academy — for example, our video-lesson platform, email provider and payment processor. These partners act on our instructions and are bound to protect your data. We may also disclose information where required by law.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as you are an active student and for as long afterwards as we are legally required to (for example, for tax and accounting records). When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, just email us. You also have the right to complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
